Great effort by the boys last night.

We lost what in theory should be one of our more difficult home fixtures but we gave it a real go and achieved an excellent bonus point and that with a weakened team.

After the Gateshead debacle the response in the Easter fixtures has been fantastic and that's all we can ask for.

Brilliant effort by the the team in defence and in forward attack.
Great to get a bonus point against a faster, slicker Widnes team.
I thought that we were hard done by by the officials in the first half.Three examples were a Widnes player lashing out with his foot at the play the ball, a blatant forward pass on the half way line resulting in Widnes' third (?) try and Webster conning the ref with his chip and dive.

Anyway second half we were the biz.....superb effort....and the Donny supporters got behind the lads with singing and chanting and clapping.....like days of old...MAGIC!

4 points over Easter when we could have got none = RESULT!
COYD
The table.
Where was Kyle Briggs?

The Webster incident was the second half.

Works for both teams re: the officials. Sam Thompson had a try disallowed in the first half for offside when he wasn't. Scott Yates put the ball on the try line in the first couple of minutes to be told he was short, and the player who took the high bomb for your 3rd try was a yard offside, I was sat exactly level. All in all the officials made mistakes for both sides.

Maximum effort put in by all the lads last night, and to be honest Widnes
were on the ropes for last twenty minutes and we looked the fitter side even though they are full-time.

Even more commendable, in that case. Long may it continue!

So, first choice props, wingers, full back and stand off....
Makes the past couple of games for us all the more impressive.

Yep it evened out...the Webster 'chip and cheat' was defo first half.
He was attacking the end you were sitting......he chipped over near the half way line and went down like a sack of spuds.
I thought we could have shipped another three or four tries......but Widnes bombed them for a variety of reasons.
Widnes were the better side.
That's why we are ecstatic with a bonus point.

Easter weekend and all that but 831 still has to be disappointing for the visit of a club like Widnes. :?
