Richards - Did what he had to do in defence quite well in my opinion, took his try superbly, shame that he seems to lost his kicking boots - but again he is one of the better of the bunch.

Ainscough - Feel sorry for him, seems to have too many hopes pinned down on him, and I think it may be affecting him. Another try which is good, but he missed Carmont/Gleeson playing next to him.

Pryce - Needs games, but in the reserves. Not fit at all - unfortunately I cant see him bein top fitness until next year. Hes a big lad, but seems to be scared of using his frame.

Gleeson - Few stupid errors but thats what happens I suppose when you have a winger outside you who doesnt seem that interested so the centre has to take a few risks. Took his try well, created it and finished it. Played well in my opinion though, solid game.

Roberts - Still doesnt strike me as the answer to our wing problems as he hasnt settled still, and im sure a month in reserve team rugby would benefit him largely, as there would be less pressure on him.

S Tomkins - Like Ainscough too many hopes on his shoulders, but we do not use this lad enough. He has the most potential on our team bar none - yet we dont give him the ball to use it. Give him the ball and let him play his own game and not Nobles one man strategy.

Tommy - Played okay but another one who isnt allowed to play his own game, as were too concentrated on sending the forwards in off a crap pass to make at the most 5 yards. Great 40/20 though.

Fielden - Enough is enough.

Riddell - Not settled yet, and we didnt say any runs from dummy half today - he needs to have much more influence on games.

Coley - Man of the match for me, played very well first 25 which happened to be when we looked the better team. Great offload for Ainscoughs try aswel.

Hansen - Solid in defence - did what he had to do, but didnt off too much in attack again.

Bailey - Another more defensive player, and this showed as we missed Hock. Hope his injury isnt too serious what he suffered as I can see him starting in the backs next game.

O'Loughlin - Still gives away penalties at the wrong time, but he did alright in stages. Great ball for Roberts' try. Isnt enough off a play maker for a 13 still..

Subs

J Tomkins - Lost his sparkle from last year, not as effective in the 2nd row. Needs to be back at 13.

McIlorum - Yet again, nothing unfazed him in defence, but some good hits in but he didnt influence the game in the right areas.

Feka - Didnt really provide any influence in the game, and truth be told looked a bit imtimidated at times by the Catalan pack.

Prescott - The same as Feka.

Coach

Noble -

To Much one man rugby against a team what are strongest in the middle of the park - Get the instructions out to get the ball out wide!

Team selections

20 minutes left, why is our team walking to scrums when we are 20 points behind?

Why do our players not look confident in defence?

in other words..

WHAT DO WE DO IN TRAINING? DO THE PLAYERS ACTUALLY PRACTISE SET MOVES?

The most baffling one was 14 points down with 16 to go, drill it into touch on the 3rd?

TBH the only players I thought actually tried where S.Tomkins, Ainscough and Gleeson.

The rest were in-effective and looked lathargic.

I think thats a bit harsh on Coley mate, he was very influential in the first quarter of the game.

THIS IS SERIOUS, I'M SICK OF EXCUSES FOR THESE PLAYERS

Richards- A winger playing FB hardly ever links up with the halves providing more options.
Roberts-Looked lively when he had the ball
Gleeson- Good centre, did a few silly mistakes, probably out of frustration
Pryce-Terrible, not up to it sadly, thank god George starts
Ainscough-Good winger, still needs to improve on defense and wing positioning, i.e always stay behind your centre when you're with him.
Tomkins-Give the lad the ball!
Tommy-Not a 7, but a potentially cracking 9. MASSIVE PROBLEM
Fielden-Shocking-MASSIVE PROBLEM
Riddell-Did we really fetch him from the other side of the world to play for us? POOR SIGNING 10 games in backs that up.
Coley-Overall not good enough
Hansen-Did some good tackling but offers nothing in attack, his lack of go forward was more evident without Hock in the team. Is it too much to have a SR forward who can tackle and go forward? NO.
Bailey-Same as Hansen
Lockers-Not a capt-Overrated.
------------
Feka-Good, when on
McClorum, no good enough
Prescott-did ok when on, was offloading well in tackles.
Tomkins-Being played out of position.

I got the impression Richards was still suffering from any injury or something. I may be wrong; but that's what it looked like.

I would only really say Ainscough had a 'good' game. S.Tomkins, Leuleuai and Gleeson played 'ok'. The rest were pretty crap.
