I watched the minutes silence on tele for Wakefield vs St Helens and found it a very touching moment.
Just before kick off when i realised there would a minutes silence i felt priviledged (can spell that word) to be able to observe this at the match, with Leon Walker's family present.
However, it would have been useful to have some warning that it was going to happen, we were cheering our team on the field not knowing there was going to be a minutes silence, it started to quick for a number of people so you could hear seat going up (family stand) and you could hear the turnstyle turning as people entered the ground. Also kids will be kids and phone will go off.
That said, very well observed.
Leon Walker RIP
Good words but it was announced before the teams came out about the minutes silence and it was pretty clear it was happening when the teams lined up on the 40 metre lines. On the seats in the main stand I always think that, don't get why they don't stand up straight away.
Thought it was impeccable like others have said.
