So 6 tries and 1 kick? Sounds about right.

Wigan to lift the intensity to another level - Saints can't manage this given the high intensity battle against Leeds and subsequently their energy levels are not as high.

The loss of Jason Cayless means Wigan can match them in the forwards.

Wigan are lifted by the signing of Martin Gleeson who gives them more options out wide and Thomas Leuluai and Sam Tomkins can really show what they can do. O'loughlin is moved to second row to offer a balance of creativity across the side with Carmont and Hock , O'loughlin and Gleeson with two clinical finishers in Ainscough and Roberts.

Wigan to target Paul Wellens and Francis Meli with towering kicks. We look to dominate the ruck all match and not allow Cunningham or Roby the chance to boss the game. We realise that Pryce prefers to take on the defence whereas Sean Long opts to move the ball out wide to Gidley to create space for himself or Gardner.

Wigan score first and the crowd lifts and they put in a huge effort to beat Saints.

Wigan 25 - 18 Saints.

Attendance - 24000

I'm hoping we put in a performance worthy of the derby match, and we give them a game, we need to show enthusiasm and commitment, something which has been lacking this season, if we show up we can compete, if not then its a cricket score, I'm an optimist so i'll go for 18-10 to Wigan, 2 tries in last quarter of an hour, gleeson to score first, but they come back 6-10 at break, tommy to go over before gleeson releases roberts in space who shows wellens up for pace and strolls in under posts to wrap up the win.
