I don't think the missing players would make any difference to our lack of creativity. I don't like calderwood, but last night he seemed to have the better of the winger and full back in the kick chase, but we barely used it. There seems to be no one on the field with any flair. It was truly dire last night. In a game we could have won easily, we were dragged into a one man out battle down the middle and, predictably, lost.
My opinion is, and has always been, that the club is too big to risk appointing an inexperienced coach and that it will backfire on us and put us back even further. Problem now is that the man waiting in the wings to take over isn't good enough either. We should have paid top dollar for a first class coach when mcrae left and we'd probably have won SL by now.

But the way we have started to play, Raynor wouldn't receive the ball
Hall isn't doing a too bad a job at full back but it would allow Hall to be moved into the centres.
Our second rowers arn't doing a bad job either.

hes a crap coach, simple as, another cheap option for the board.
ffs get a household name in the position and get some new ideas on the park. it seems jon sharp is just waitin for agar to make a foook of it so he can take the reins on his own. at least sharp knows what it means to the fans.
i can live with the fact last year we had peter sharps team and a shed load of injuries to contend with but if were gunna have to put up with the same drivel every week that we had to last year weve no chance.
its budgie time yet again in hulls boardroom, cheap cheap cheap

I disagree.
Crocker is world class and would allow Manu to be used as an impact player
Lauaki would bend the line and play more than 10 minutes
Tony is better than Craig Hall
Raynor is class and tries to create his own chances, like his kick through and try vs Leeds at the KC last year
I don't see how including these players would not improve the team.

totally correct, you dont see leeds & saints pi55in about gettin a coach in. the only thing holding this club back is the bunch of nobjockeys who run it.
Mrs Barista wrote:Not disagreeing. Too many unforced errors vs Cas and a game we should have won. The manner of last night's defeat was more concerning in that we didn't look like winning nor did we deserve to. Defensive intensity and ideas in attack completely lacking. Having those 4 players in would definitely help, though.
well we aint gonna get crocker in for a while if at all, so he aint gonna make any difference to the side at the moment is he. Rayner will make a difference some what but he can't beat a side by himself.
you know these guys (FC PLAYERS ) are not in the reall world are they.
I go to work on monday possible redundancies looming, told i will not receive my ten year service watch due to cut backs, ten years at hull and you get 100k, we as supporters deserve better.
i feel so sorry for the great support in london and they the players produce a performance like that.
I know there is no loyalty in our team and anyone elses for that matter but we just ask someone who is on 60-100k a year to put in a bit of effort, we know we aren't the most gifted but effort will do.

I'm not disagreeing about the effort which clearly wasn't there last night. My point is that, when assembling the squad, we'd have expected these 4 players (or at least 3 of them) to be in the starting 13 as they're all internationals.

Have to agree. I always feared that the appointment of Agar would be a mistake, and I've never been impressed by Sharpe either.
I think our medium-term future holds nothing but mediocrity unless something miraculous occurs.
