Hey, I hope you do keep your young kids, local kids playing for their home club is what its about, while we had 4 local lads in our team last night, there are as many again on the fringes , last week agaisnt quins we had 5 or 6 and its the way ahead for all clubs.
If theres lads on the 'fringes' of super league in the reserve side huddersfield fielded today that just goes to show my point about how muc the SC has dumbed down super league and how far backwards RL has gone in this country because of it!!! bloody mathers is more on the fringes of super league than them lot, and even hes now been dropped from our reserves!!!!!
Think id stick mathers in tbh...give him a game against an NL1 side and see if hes up to that level, just so he knows for next season whether to tout round for a contract at teams like Barrow, Leigh etc. or whether he needs to drop a further level and look for a contract with oldham or rochdale....or possibly even dewsbury celtic!!

Then why have you signed so many overseas players in the last 12 months? Phelps, Roberts, Piggy etc The only way the youth will get a chanceis if Noble goes - if he stays expect another influx of Aussies for 2010
Your job is to say to yourself on a job interview does the hiring manager likes me or not. If you aren't a particular manager's cup of tea, you haven't failed -- you've dodged a bullet.

I think you've got to play him, too many clubs don't back their youngsters after a few mistakes, Ryan Hall makes them at Leeds but they stick with him.

Ainscough made 1 major error on Friday night after the game was gone. I suppose you could say it was an error that led to their clincing try but he was under extreme pressure and these things happen.
I know Saints will pepper him but these are things he's going to have to deal with if he wants to cut out a top level career at Wigan. I can't see him being dropped for the game tbh and thats the way it should be.
I doubt Pryce doing any better under the high ball even though he's about a foot taller then Ainscough.
