If you're over early, try the Sunday Carvery in The Magnet on Pontefract Road. £5.95 for two courses and absolutely top notch grub.

Probably less atmosphere in the early bath but at least you can hear yourself think, rather than the extremely loud unnecessary disco then boot room has.

Also a decent pint? Must be one of the few pubs in Cas that serves Tiger beer from a bottle that puts it in a plastic glass. I'd rather go elsewhere.

Last time I went to Magnet for a carvery wasn't very good at all. Was about a year a go though, they might be better by now.

johns smooth is ok, prefer handpull myself, but less and less places serve it, and i cant stand tetleys (or carlsberg, which is why i rarely drink in the ground).

Besides what do you know about beer, ya southern shandy drinker! :wink:

Yes the dish water is very good . Garden house or Early bath for a decent wet .
