What about using the month of October from any given year as a relevant period.

Reasons why people dislike Saints in the modern era.

1. Saints have finished as champions more than any other.

2. Saints have won the Challenge Cup more than any other.

3. Saints have finished top of the pile more than any other.

You do realise with an unbalanced fixture list that finishing top is neither here nor there??
Also winning championships carries more prestige when you do it without cheating!!

I actually agree with this.

I don't think theres any doubt that if Saints had turned up for the previous 2 Grand Finals then we'd have won the double for the past 3 seasons. We didn't and consequently Leeds can revel in the most successful period of their history.

There's also little doubt if catalan dragons, huddersfield giants and more recently hull fc had turned up in their respective cup finals they'd all have a challenge cup in their cabinet after making you "choke" in their finals aswell!! :SHHH:

This is a top thread, you wouldnt find this kind of.. erm.. "Banter" on the "Mighty S" boards with its clinical censoring of anything slightly anti saints, kudos to you all and viva les mods.

Using the usual measures of Championships, Challenge Cups, Premierships, RT/JP, Floodlit, Lancashire, Yorkshire and World Club Championships:

Wigan have won 70 Trophies
St Helens have won 44
Leeds have won 41
and
Bradford have won 34

Rather than chasing the much more successful Wigan you'd be better served trying to hang onto 2nd.

Are hubcaps, lazenby trophies and tetleys festive challenges and other such important trophies included?
