Yep. There was a lot of that tonight. Lots of people there that thought widnes had at some stage resided in merseyside which anyone would be able to tell you it hadn't. Frickin idiots!!!
oh my god a set of fans who aren't calling for coach's head after a single defeat? wire fans were calling for lowes to be sacked and booing the players after a run of 8 wins, jesus if only they had your intelligence haha

I think that was pretty much the gamebreaker really, if we had scored in one of those sets I think we could have done a lazarus.
This is history. This is history. Right here. Right now. This is history.
I thought it was Widnes?
All games are winnable, whats hard to understand about that.
Wakefield turn over a big club every season and i see no reason why Widnes can't do the same.
I would think that not concerned sums it up nicely...
We knew we could be in for a defeat tonight and we certainly handed it to them from the very off... a kick that went straight out on the full and then Flynn's barmy offload.
As I mentioned in the other thread I think both teams will improve through the course of the season but I think that we have the greater potential to get better.
The passing was back to painful again last night with the ball thrown in a loop to the player rather than directed and I lost count the number of times the receiving player took the pass above shoulder height.
We looked out of ideas on their line and I think that in time we will develop more set plays for situations just like the ones we found ourselves in last night.
Fax's defence was good but to be honest did we test them? The ball was never moved around and as such we never really created openings. More often than not when we ran the ball in we just ran it straight back into the tackle area where a defending player was waiting with open arms.
We have the talent in Duffy, Thackray, Smith and Webster but it looked uncoordinated last night and they can't do much when they don't have the runners which again I think will come in time and with the correct drilling.

Both teams have limitations. Fax play in spells, with a front row that tires and can be exposed. They have some great flair players around the ruck, Penky, Gov, Black and these players look for QPTB to get you on the back foot, control this area and Fax look average, and against a big pack, Haven, will be exposed.
Widnes lack power up front, if Webster had been playing behind a decent front row he would have ripped Fax's pack to shreds on attack. TKL, well and Doran likes to give those pens away still which is a shame because he is a great team player.
Will be a good league this year, I dont see much between Fax,Widnes, Leigh, Fev, Haven and Sheff/Barrow away are always tough when they are at full strength. Gateshead are unknown, Toulouse/Batley will get better.
Cant see anyone losing less than 4.
