Very worried about JC. It reminds of the Scully route from a few years back. He didn't play long minutes today.

He looked pretty fragile getting up from a couple of tackles tonight. Easily dealt with too, very Scully(2006 onwards)-esqe.

His final fling was Brisbane in the WCC. You could clearly see the guy was over as a RL player yet that night he pushed his body as far as he could. You could also gain a sense of the fact that it was because he recognised his worth to Saints and to British RL in general; he had to leave a mark. He did so and I doubt he will be forgotten. For me....the most important player to Saints of the past 20 years and that includes Cunningham and Long.

Wilkin will never be fit to lace his boots.

Me too, not ready to write him off yet but he looks a shadow of the player he used to be at the moment.

Meli - situation is a joke - all other high profile ones seem to have been decided favourably or unfavourably. Why is Meli situation taking so long? Is the pushing as hard as he can to get it sorted?

I would probably get rid.

Solution?

Bring in Dave Halley or similar type as stop-gap until youngsters develop a bit more?

Agreed .Time to look at other options. Can't just rely on Armstrong (who is
not a winger anyway) and Gardner.

Playing Wheeler , Foster or others out of position will just hamper their development. Giving youth a chance is an excellent strategy and
players need to be flexible. eg A stand off playing centre or Half backs
having a run at hooker etc. However sticking bodies on the wing
is a career killer.

Halley looks good. I would take a punt on Penny , Mills from Widnes
or even Ford from Cas for a month or so to see how they go
with a longer term assessment to be made at the end of the season.

Proper wingers with pace is what the Saints public is
crying out for.

Others on here, and I agree with them would like Luke Rooney, currently disgruntled in French RU

It doesn't look like he's coming back to be honest. If he's not coming back we'll have to recruit IMO. Our squad was small to begin with.
