Are you getting any coverage of the World Baseball Classic in Europe? I watched quite a bit of it this weekend. The Cloggies beating the Dominicans was a bit crackers. The Canada-USA game was great, with the Canucks on their home turf and a 40k+ crowd. This one went down to the wire with the Canucks just falling short in the 9th to lose by 1.

Jeebus it's great to be watching baseball again.

Most of the games are being shown live on the ESPNA channel and as i've had today off work i've just watched Korea beat Japan 1-0.

I wanted to watch the Dutch have a crack at Puerto Rico tonight but it clashes with the Canada-Italy game, which will get blanket coverage here unfortunately. At least the Canucks should win that one. I might get my booty down to the Rogers Centre on Wednesday night should they get far enough to take on the Yanks again. The place will be rocking.

Looks like channel 5 won't be showing baseball this year as the game 1st game of the season on sunday night is not on,it's being shown on ESPNA.Couple that with them now showing NHL at 4am on fri mornings instead of live and it looks like they're phasing out the north american sports.

That's been on the agenda for a good while now.

It seems ESPNamerica will be getting the whole lot, slightlu surprised we haven't seen more NBA coverage on there.

MLB TV have upgraded their media player this year so that you can watch a game and during that game the player will offer you highlight clips live from other games as you watch. Looks like an amazing piece of internet broadcasting. I had MLB TV at the tail end of last year for about £12. A full year costs a lot more but if you're into your baseball it's a must have.
