Interestingly enough Saints have been involved in some low scoring games against so called lesser opposition.

11-0 Vs Huddersfield in 1999, 12-10 Vs Salford in 2006 and now 4-0 Vs Celtic.

It' s way too early for us to try and draw any conclusions from this result. Saints have been poor on gluepot pitches in recent years, plus they've been notoriously poor starters in the last couple of seasons.

One difference this year, of course, is that a new coach is in the saddle - and non-too-comfortably with certain Saints players (from what I've been told), and their superstars are visibly ageing. Even so, it's going to be Easter before we're able to assess where the two clubs stand in relation to each other.

If we kick on from this weekend, that Maundy Thursday match may hinge more on what we do than what Saints do.

she cant have been to many games in the past 13 years. I could name at least 10 worse performances in that time frame.

great defense from both teams really. Saints had a full team out, but never really got a chance to get a roll on. Celtic barely had an attacking chance all game.

Honestly thought we were going to get a nil-nil at one point.
