So exactly what facilities are missing at Craven Park that every other SL club has?

Okay, what does Odsal (for example) have for older people and kids that Craven Park doesn't :?:

FFS, what principle is it that stops you travelling to The Stoop. Is it because we got a leg up into Superleague, is it because we had an overseas quota bigger than other teams, is it because we went bust and got voted back in by the SL chairmen or is it just pure flat-earthery?
The 50 odd Quins fans en-route to the willows today are taking days off work, spending money on petrol, hotels, tickets, beer and visiting a ground that has seen better days. They will rack up 9,000 miles this year following their team.
You on the other hand refuse to travel south because you have "principles"
Get over yourself.....most, if not all fans who come to The Stoop, say what a great day out it is.

Hey I have been before though (1998! ).

When we have a low turnout of away fans at Craven Park, someone will always comment " Look at 'um that's a disgrace".

Yet I always think fair play to them that have come, it's the ones that stayed at home that deserve the abuse.

Fair play to the fifty that are at Salford tonight following the Quins, I'm quite sure they don't do it for the applause or a chufty badge, but they do deserve credit.

I'M SURE THERE IS NO CORRELATION BETWEEN THE FACT THAT THE FRONT RUNNERS FOR THE 2009 MEDIA WHINGING AWARD ARE FROM GATESHEAD AND HULL FC, FORMERLY THE B*ST*RD-TWINS OF ONE OF RUGBY LEAGUE'S LOUSIER IDEAS.

I love seeing away fans at games, adds massively to the atmosphere at the games, puts money in clubs pockets and there is nothing I enjoy more than sharing a bit of banter and idol chat with fans of RL from other places.

I applaud any fans that travel, especially the London, Celtic, Catalans, Hull/KR fans etc that travel the furthest of any.

One day I would love to see the RFL sign a sponsorship deal with a national coach company so every club can offer free or very cheap coach travel for fans to attend away games.

If all clubs could muster the travelling fans of some clubs then alot of clubs crowd averages would be pushing or breaking 10,000 by now.

I agree with what you are saying but in order to push attendances up clubs should be doing more at a local level, its bringing in the local fans all season long that really boosts a clubs attendances and finances, the away fans should just be a boost to that number.

But I agree with you on the fans that travel a distance, I am up nice and early this morning to go down to Wales but knowing we only have to travel there once this season, whereas their away fans have to do it every other week - I know I couldn't afford to go to as many away games if such distances where involved!

Yes away fans should be a bonus but as JB and myself on occaision has pointed out , they add atmosphere to the games which in itself attracts home fans

His suggestion of free or cheap coach travel is what the NL/Championship clubs should be looking at to help make that competition more attractive to all fans , as the biggest problem at those matches is a lack of atmosphere

SOMEBODY SAID that it couldn’t be done
But he with a chuckle replied
That “maybe it couldn’t,” but he would be one
Who wouldn’t say so till he’d tried.
So he buckled right in with the trace of a grin
On his face. If he worried he hid it.
He started to sing as he tackled the thing
That couldn’t be done, and he did it!

Out of interest would it pay a club to hire free buses for away fans to travel to their games. ie Lets say Wakey are playing Salford. Salford get a free coach for Wakey fans to attend. Would the 60 fans on the coach paying gate admission be worthwhile to Salford? At 20 quid a head that is 1200 quid in the bank for Salford, how much does a coach cost to hire these days?

I have suggested this to several NL/Championship clubs , unfortunatley some cannot see past the end of thier noses

This was obvious when they fell for the RFL bribe of a freebie in Toulouse
