We know Wire can turn us over on their day, they've posted quite a few big wins over us in the Super League era, but let's presume a Leeds win. Where does this leave Jimmy Lowes? Out on his ear? That will mean 4 defeats in 4 in this new season and already well off the pace and more than likely blown a top 2 finish. Then looking at defeats at the end of last season, his last block of results have been awful. Will he be sacked? Or will the board give him time? I feel the axe may be swinging Monday morning if they don't pull a result out on Sunday.

Then looking at their next lot of fixtures and that hill is looking steeper by the minute:

- Harlequins away - Quins will deem this home game as 'must win' after letting Wigan off the hook.

- Hull KR @ home - looks a hard game, when you look at the level of performances the Robins have produced already this season.

- Then they have the 'bottom lot' (Celtic/Salford/Cas) - who will also be looking at Wire as 'must win'.

That's the problem they have with a bad start, everyone wants to play you and pile on the misery. If Wire would have had a resonable start, the 'bottom lot' wouldn't have looked forward to this fixture, but in reality these clubs will see this fixture very winnable.

Lowes must have been gutted that Leeds didn't win the WCC, but he'll also remember the hangover they had after the CC defeat last season, their last victory. So he'll want to see a repeat of that.

As for Leeds, they need to dust themselves down and get back on the horse. The disappointment of that defeat will be a valueable lesson to the likes of Smith/Watkins/Abblett et al, and the only way they can overcome that disappointment is to be successful once again. Starting at Warrington, making sure we keep top-spot and defend the title we hold.

I predict a cracking game. Both need the win for different reasons. If Wire don't look as desperate as they should do, I expect a grand Leeds win. But if Leeds are caught again in self-pitying mode at Warrington, and they get a sniff of that, they will be baying for blood and will reward their coach with a 'get out jail card'.......for the short term anyway.

Roll on Sunday.

Right, I believe we will stuff them. They are lacking confindence at the moment and have the worse defensive paterns I have seen from a "decent" SL club. I cant see that being fixed in 8 days.

Leeds on the other hand will be dissapointed about the WCC and will want to make amends. Unlike last year when we won we may have gone into the winless Cas game a bit too over confident. I feel lessons will have been learned from then.

Also the speed of last nights game was imense. If Leeds can play at that pace again then we shoudl blow the Wolves off the park.

You mean you have worked out we have a defensive structure?

Didn't William Webb Ellis pick up the ball and run, someone should really tell Rugby Union.

I hope not!!
I was saying that to KM that the worse thing that could happen is that they sack lowes and get a decent coach in who has a clear out and turns them around!!
Can't wait for sunday though it's normally a good atmosphere at the HJ.

King Monkey!!
There seems to be a general concensus that they'll go for tony smith.
Which would be no surprise really he's only got this year left with england is very keen to coach in SL again and they have already signed one of his coaching stalwarts in john bastien.

'r lass doesn't go to the rugby...at all.

She's looking mighty fine at the minute, may stay home with her instead and 'bump uglies' all afternoon.

Or for half an hour at least.

I dunno if i'll be going, looking likely that I'm on rota. B'stards!!! Anyone would think that I've had 3 months off or summat.

Have we started guessing the time of the Briers dummy spit yet?

C'mon, it's tradition!

32 mins for me.

Leeds Rhinos? 8 for you, Leeds Rhinos! You go, Leeds Rhinos.

And none for Castleford Tigers. Bye!
