Usual RFL fairness and logic in action!

Surely this would work-

Pool 1 Winner vs Pool 2 4th Placed
Pool 1 2nd Placed vs Pool 2 3rd Place
Pool 2 Winner vs Pool 1 4th Placed
Pool 2 2nd Placed vs Pool 1 3rd Place

Giving home advantage to the teams who finished in the top 2 of their pools.

Of course that would work - it is logical and equitable............but the RFL do not do logical and ethical.

My fear about an open draw is that Fax and Widnes (two teams who would definitely grace an event such as the NRC final) could well meet in the first of the knock-out rounds whilst, like last year, one of the 'lesser' sides goes all the way avoiding the bigger sides who are knocking each other out.

I like your confidence mate , but we have to qualify yet . I know you stuffed Barrow at your place but a Wednesday night on their pitch is a different prospect. Hopefully we will get through .

I'll take any of the remaining sides at home to be honest.

Not worried about any of the sides, I don't exoect us to go the season unbeaten but on our day we can beat any team in the league i believe

I really dont think we should be bothered who we get in the next round. As favourites its up to us to justify that tag so lets get Widnes or Fev out of the way early. :D

Says here that the draw is now taking place at half time of our match against Widnes not the widnes-toulouse match

Just for your info Barrow beat Widnes comfortably tonight 12 - 4. Like I have said Barrow need fear no team in this comp or league, Particularly at home. I'd say Barrow are the dark horses this year and if I was a supporter of a side with a 'Favourite' tag i'd want to avoid Barrow away. Good luck for the rest of the competition. Would be nice to be meeting you in the final :D
