Gary Hetherington and the Manly chief ex ,put forward an idea on the SL show that our 2nd and 3rd place teams in SL would play the 2nd and 3rd in the NRL in a mini tournement ,one played on friday night one on sat ,with the last been the two champion sides on the sunday ,in a mini challenge type thing
thoughts, would this be another meaningless fixture which any team could pick up injuries or is it somthing worth while ,i doubt the idea would take off tbh its taken the aussys years to take the club challenge seriously

Yes.
There is a prestige in a match between the best SL team and the best NRL team, lets not go all Champions League on it.
When I first saw the title of this I thought it was about the FC Irregulars winning the World Club Challenge Tournament held at the Leeds Rugby Academy yesterday!!
Well we did win it!!
As for the "champions league" style club challenge, totally pointless IMO

I think its a great idea.

I quite like the idea, its better than just a one off game and not as long winded as the previous attempt we had at this a few years back.

I think it would be a good idea if it could be made meaningful, but sadly I don't think it can.
