Agree with you mate. Wilko looks ordinary unless the opposition is beat. In fairness he is a grafter but not much more unfortunately.

To be honest, I dont we have seen the best of Wilkin for a while either.

He seems to want to make big hits, and always comes off second best.
Although he does run some great lines, and can be creative when given the chance

He did hardly anything, except one good pass and kick a few goals.
TP was our best player tonight, he's a beast.

Disagree, Jen. Long had a good game last night, hit the line well, place kicking was spot on turning a very good full back around and he had obviously been doing a bit of extra work on his conversions.

I think we'll see the best from Wilkin when it drys up a bit. Was pretty quiet last night, hit a few good lines and made a good break down the right in the second half. I think he needs more responsibility to bring out the best in him.

I thought we missed Fozzard's go forward, and I wish we had him back. Fa'asavalu isn't doing what he should be doing and Hargreaves isn't making any yards.

He is a talented footballer in terms of having a decent kicking game and a decent pair of hands, but his work rate is often overlooked with a lot of people having him down as a show pony.

The reality is he was our 3rd top tackler last year too, averaging 27 tackles a game.

Wilkin is also the first to bring down the opposition's biggest yardage maker.

Sadly, with an aging squad, we have to take some hard decisions, which last year saw Fozz and Big Willie let go, when they could still do a job for another year or two. However, in the big scheme of things, it is important to do this for the long term good of the team. I'm sure that we will do something similar at the end of this season, a couple of players with life still in their legs will not be here next year...

Agree with 2 points you make there. He will get better in the dry but he also needs to step up and take on more responsibility. He had an up and down season last year and really needs to be more consistent.

I think he's started the season OK, without being outstanding. His defence has improved alot in the last 3 years and his workrate is very good. He also hits very good lines.

Thought Long had a good game(exept for that late poor decision),as did Wilkin. I was impressed with Frodsham went forward in the impact every time. We are going to struggle If Cayless goes missing for most of the season like last year, the forwards tired late on for me.
We obviousley missed Pryce last night, looked very unorganised in attack at times. Only haveing one genuine Centre amplified the problem for me.
We werent at our best at all but fair play to H.K.R they stuck to their guns and just wouldnt go away.
Finally great to see so many youngsters haveing a go,we should get a couple of good'uns out of that lot at least.
I've always thought of McGuire as a good player, and I wouldn't normally wish injury on any player, but there was a certain hint of poetic justice to that.
Another classic:
You forgot to take off the "Saints Reduction Factor" when calculating the ban.

Standard suspension / Saints Reduction Factor = Actual ban for Saints player.

Therefore (2 / 3) = 0.666

0.666 < 1 therefore actual ban equals "less than 1 match".

Therefore ZERO.
Give the girl her dummy back.
