Mrs Barista wrote:Some excellent work by the pack again tonight - won the "arm-wrestle" convincingly and pushed back their ball-carrier more effectively than I can remember. Special mention to Tom Briscoe for a stunning one-on-one ball steal to save a try as well. Very encouraging all round. :D
Had to get my son to pinch me when i saw dowes drag 3 tacklers 10 metres! He was awesome again.

Does anyone agree with this? That tonight was the first time since I can remember I felt comfortable that we were in control and was in no way going to lose..........had to keep pinching myself.
And before the usual suspects start about barnsley and pinching.... :P
you know who you are....

Must admit the atmosphere in the stadium reflected this. There was no nervousness, something i haven't witnessed for a while.

Spot on - we smothered them defensively and they couldn't really get going. Lots of work still to do creatively but the forwards are really laying the platform. Looking forward to Huddersfield now, as I bet Thorman and Jon Sharp are

Agree, but at 14-6 was a little concerned, but not really worried. thought we always had it in the bag

would agree it was weird to see FC in such control of a game at home

wasn't that impressed with Catalan though, they seemed tired and missed the 4 props they had absent.

still a few errors and problems that need ironing out, but again the kicking, enthusiasm and fitness seemed much better than last season, and our defense at the moment is amongst the best in SL
