I actually think this is a belting idea - not sure about the costs - the 40K p.a. is fine but its sounds quite an expensive re-fit I still do think it could work well.

It would double as a great meeting place for those away games you can't get to that are televised too.

I've thought myself about similar plans for Saints certainly since the ground development was given the green light, for the club to have a combined themed bar / shop type outlet within easy walking distance from the town centre should work well.

Ive been in the shop today, it was like a bomb had hit, they had obviously got a large delivery of stuff but they had just ripped open the boxes so there was clothes and boxes literally blocking off the 'corridor' section were the best bits are. I had to squeeze past 2 women sat on the floor in the middle of the mess. I just thought to myself imagine a Tesco or a proper high street shop was organised like this. I picked up a T shirt to buy but after the women pi$$ing about for so long and not looking like they could be arsed serving i just left it. Worst shop ive ever been in by a mile.

The centre of town would be a prime spot.

The bar could be used for any fans forums that the club organised and so ALL money would go back to the club. The bar area itself doesn't even need to open every night and can just open at weekends and maybe Wednesday nights (decent night round Wigan) and show either the previous weeks match or a match from the past. Bit of grub on as well and you're talking a full house.

None of the floors or rooms are big enough for a FF. But yea, the rest of the idea works.

They could even link up with Walkabout (current sponsors), buy a drink in the 'club bar' and get half price entry into Walkabout before 12pm.

Come on Ian, get it sorted
