I agree, but without playing he will struggle to get hold of a starting position. Washy is still ahead of him on the pecking order, Burnett is playing well, Lauaki is coming in maybe to play a bit in the back row too. Whiting is going to get a chance this season when fit at some point and he really needs to grasp it.

Personally i prefer Washy at 13 for what he brings but really value Whiting too, just not sure where he fits.

I would love to see Whiting at 13.....think he would be a lot better than Washy...thats no slight on Washy but think Whiting would have a better all round game.

Creatively Whiting would be the better 13. Defensively Washy gets through so much work which seems to be the choice of most SL clubs currently. In Attack Washy brings a running game too which Whiting doesnt have which is why i think Washy edges it. (although i agree we could do with some more creative players out there too)

Tough choice.

I don't think washy's running game brings alot to the team. I'd say we have runners in richard horne and um thorman, we need recievers who run good angles, like whiting! Imo........ i think whiting runs brilliant angles, its just a shame he's not fast enough to finish off the breaks!

He was joint top of our tackle busts last season, 2nd in clean breaks and joint 2nd on our offload charts. Not sure why you dont think Washys running game brings much to our team.

mehhhhhhhh, i think each team knows his little inside step now, i don't think he would create such an impact this year
Okay maybe i am a little biased, but i think whiting deserves a run at loose forward!

That may be true but if rich had been fit washy wouldn't have been in the team as much to get those stats. Whiting is a far better player and offers far more to the team. All my opinion of course.
