IL ain't know mug, and his comment regarding the only positive to come from the game is that NOBLE picked both Ainscough and Pryce for the match is rather interesting.
We all know including IL that one if not both of these players WOULD NOT have played had it not been for injuries to Richards, Phelps and Mathers. Noble did not pick these players by choice he was backed into a corner by having no option.
Me feels theres a hidden message in there. Why would he say 'Brians picked the new players' why not just say 'the new players Pryce and Ainscough', theres been rumours abounding from the end of last season that IL and BN don't see eye to eye on when to start blooding the young kids. Hopefully now IL will see that he's been right all along and these kids are ready but they've been stifled by BN rufusal to drop the better paid Antipodeans.
When Maurice sold me to Leeds something changed, it just not the same, the passion inside me just wasn’t the same as running out at Central park for my hometown club. We need a change of culture here; we don’t want to be just happy with playing ok on Saturday at St Helens. Ill make sure that from now on things will change, that players will be under pressure and will train a lot harder than they have before. Shaun Wane 8/10/09

However had Phelps not been injured, I fully expect that he would have had Ainscough's place in the team and we would have had NO positives tonight, possibly suffered an even heavier defeat....lets face it, Phelps wouldn't have scored that try last night!!!!
Had our head coach gambled on Sam Tomkins yesterday, maybe IL could have commented on another magnificent debut and perhaps even a Wigan victory.
Sadly, we'll never know.
And for this he (Noble) gets my vote of NO confidence.
Noble has lost the plot and the Dressing room, he should be sacked now

Best you win the lottery and buy him out then cocker
Conroy - Being a Latics fan i'm already immune to watching sh*te.
Sally Cinnamon - Treat the Saints forum as you would if you met a girl from St Helens. Best policy would be to avoid altogether but if you absolutely can't resist temptation then take every possible precaution.

Whatever industry you work in, you'd give someone making such a decision a severe dressing down at the earliest opportunity.
Noble is becoming a bigger moron game by game.
As I've said before I was at the game with a mate who's a Wigan fan, and said to him when Hock went off that, that was him done for the night at least. I couldnt believe it when I saw him coming back on!

To be fair to Noble it would have been his decision, but it would have been made with both the players, physios and conditioners consent.
Noble would not have wasted a substitution if he knew that Hock was going to be replaced within 5 minutes.

Exactly. He was also on the spot. He is hardly likely to be less than diplomatic.
People will read into what he said what they want to hear and doing so myself I picked up on the comments about Noble introducing Pryce and Ainscough.
Now we all think he only did it because he had to and maybe IL thinks the same but for me IL saw that as a positive. If Noble drops both of them for Quins and the regular players (Nobles favourites) do not perform THEN I will be interested in what IL has to say about it.
