Inspired by the 'comedian' thread and in the spirit of good debate:
What TV programmes (apart from the same old rubbish soaps) do you find unmissable or have stuck in your memory as being exceptionally good?
Someone I like very much is Louis Theroux. If you ever watch his programmes he's an awfully good jounalist, I think he's made some fantastic stuff. He can do a great job of completely taking the mick out of his subjects without them ever realising. Some of his best stuff for me was the episode he did about the extreme church in America, it was shocking and brilliant at the same time.
I am also a big fan of anything Derren Brown does but especially his live shows. When I saw the live tour Something Wicked This Way Comes on TV last year it was the first thing I'd ever seen of his, tbh I'd never heard of him before that, and he blew me away.

I don't watch a lot of T.V if I'm being honest, well, I do, but mainly Sky Sports News, if I do watch something, though, 'I'm Alan Partridge' is definitely something I love to watch

On the comedy route I'm also a huge huge fan of The League of Gentlemen. Some absolute genius characters to which Little Britain has a lot to be thankful for and will never compare.
I'm really enjoying Being Human. Been watching it on iPlayer in my space time. Then theres the American dramas such as Lost, 24 and Heroes. As for the regulars, Waterloo Road, Hustle, Gavin and Stacey, Have I Got News For You, Mock The Week, Not Going Out, TV Burp and recently I was enjoying Total Wipeout.
