One man said behind me said that there was no atmosphere and I felt like saying why dont you do something about it then, but I was sat there silent. The PA had no build up to the teams coming on the field and our mascot is as entertaining as a funeral. Bring back Parky Pig and his hovercraft. Playing like we did today and winning against the top teams will bring so many in but the club need to start putting together an initiative to attract families. I hate being sat near fans with drums and trumpets but we need that sort of thing. I stood near the tunnel and looked at the players faces as they came off the field and to me they looked let down by us all. They played very well but looked deflated. I think I will change my ST to the north stand.
The biggest problem with RL outside SL
Also new stadia make it even worse with only 2 stands in use
What is needed is all the clubs to sit down together [ without any RFL presence ] and discuss how they are going to make the competitions they are playing in attractive to fans
A ' leap of faith ' is required by the clubs directors , if they dont have that in them then professional RL outside SL will wither and die

SOMEBODY SAID that it couldn’t be done But he with a chuckle replied That “maybe it couldn’t,” but he would be one Who wouldn’t say so till he’d tried. So he buckled right in with the trace of a grin On his face. If he worried he hid it. He started to sing as he tackled the thing That couldn’t be done, and he did it!

The idiotic response of a fool..............May I be so kind to point out that the LSV attendances are in actual fact everything to our future !!
Does anyone know if the free u11's ST's are included in the figure posted on sporting life? If so I would say it's rather worrying.
As it happens a regular member of our group made the decision that todays game did not warrant £14 especially in todays non P&R environment and stayed away, he did meet up with us all later on and the scoreline did actually support his judgement.
As Matt stated 1,300 is purely and simply not sustainable. A huge concern I am sure.

come on, its almost impossible to produce a bouncing atmosphere with less than 1500 of us in a 12600 stadium, with no away fans, in a one sided romp. I personally was not looking forward to today's game, as i hate predictable games, and today was one of those games, but the lads did their best to entertain us, and i for one was entertained, thought we played really well, and in the past we would of took our foot of the peddle, but not todsay they kept going and smashed the skolars, as all good teams should do when you have a team on the ropes, what ever the club did or did not do they would of been struggling to drag many more fans in today, so well done lads, and i hope they don't feel let down by us, because as a fan of 30 years i am sure i can think of shed loads of times i've been let down by my team.

Pray tell us oh knowledgable one how anyone on here can alter what has been, and what YOU have done to boost todays attendance - not that it matters one little bit as what has been has now gone, if people weren't as bothered about prematch boozing rituals and more concerned about really helping thier club then hey we may be a SL team in 3 years, now what was that about being a fool, but like the saying goes it takes one to know one

Did I say I could alter what has been? No. Are we allowed to discuss a reasonable / sensible / simple question on todays attendance? Well no not according to you. Get down off your self inflated pedestal for one minite and you may realise that to some, todays attendance was more important than the scoreline. It was for me, personally I would take losing every single match this season in return for a average crowd of 4,000. I would find the long term future far more encouraging. We were always going to struggle today and I accept that but if you think 1,300 attendances are of no importance then I'm not going to spell it out to you especially if a certain person was to walk away.
FYI - I do quite a bit for Leigh RLFC, some of us do not feel the need to broadcast it from the rooftops every single day
