Its embarrassing when a professional sports club need volunteers to help prepare the pitch for match day. Plans should have been put in place for this eventuality. No excuses IMO.

PP and UtS....
I fully appreciate the work being done by the ground staff and the volunteers from both codes and humbly proffer my sincerest apologies for any upset I caused by implying that the Union club would do anything other than all they can to ensure our game goes ahead. I mean to say, where ever would I get such an idea from? (celtic crusaders anyone!)
I mean, it's not like they DIDN'T clean the ground after their game on Dec 13th is it.................................................otherwise the RL volunteer group would have had to sweep the concourses, move 70 odd empty beer barrels and generally tidy the place up for the RL festive open day on the 14th.
Sceptic I may be, but there are a few other instances us and them (which I am prevented from mentioning in public) so sceptic I will stay until I see a major attitude shift.
Sorry if that upsets some people.

Yeah disgraceful........everyone from the RU/RL board down to the players and back room staff should be sacked immediately......and we should start both codes again from scratch.......no excuses, they should have known that the worst snowfall in many a year was going to hit and had snow ploughs standing by and undersoil heating installed........shows a complete lack of forward planning....tut, tut

WTF?
So you find it acceptable that the Stoop was untouched by any form of cleaning team after their game on the 13th, even though their "partners" were having an event the following day?
Sorry, but that incident (along with others) shows a total lack of respect being shown to the League side of the Club by the Union lot.

I REST MY CASE............we are an add on.....They wax on about the iconic name...blah blah blah, but nothing about the Rugby League side of things.
New Logo, new jersey, same old Rugby League........
Can't speak for Code 13, but I am sure we could have had our OWN site just as quickly as Sotic delivered the Union one.

Don't see taht you have a case to rest - I just think youe are being sensitive about having to clear up before the Xmas open day.
"Harlequins FC, who play in the distinctive quartered shirt have turned to Sotic to provide them with the latest generation of on line services. After a period of review during the summer Harlequins selected Sotic to undertake a complete rebuild of their online presence, including websites for Harlequins Rugby Union, Harlequins Rugby League and their Online Shops. The Rugby Union and shop sites were launched last week, with the Rugby League site following prior to the next Super League season."
I think we get a fairly equal mention above.
