Surely if he has a Visa and was convicted he's going to hit a massive brick wall at the point of re-issue?

As I say, this is the only bad non-UK player assault I can remember, but I may be well off the mark, so if I am, apologies!

Wasn't Willie Manu convicted of assault before he signed for Cas?

Yeah, depends if he will qualify for residency on the back of his time here or whether he will need a new visa. He could struggle for the latter.

There a obviously reasons why Crocker has been refused a visa to come here and play, whatever those reasons may be. However, with the amount of foreigners playing over here in football I just can't believe that all of them are so squeeky clean, can anyone else ? Or does money talk in football far more than in our game and if so who's recieving the backhanders !!!!!!!!!!!

I don't know if this is possible, but can they apply for an EU or other EU country Visa, and then use it in the UK?

what i really dont get is how this country can tighten visa (fair do's), but this country will let people in the country who are then found out to be conspiring to blow us up!! they go to court are freed and then live off taxpayers money. Then they wont let a international, professional rugby player come to the country play three years, pass on so much knowledge to english kids and of course the young FC players. then pack his bags and go home.(no cost to the taxpayer)

Thats more to do with the Human rights act than British policy on these things. Yes its all backwards but we are signed up to it and must now live with it. You reap what you sow I am affraid.

Of course none of "us" actually benefit from the Human Rights Act do we?
