The atmosphere was cack last year apart from a few quality shouts of Alex's ( ) Greatest Club song.

Seen a few people saying on here that a lot of the home games were like being sat in a morgue, I can only see it getting worse next year. I was trying to work out which players deserve a good song about them and it had me thinking, who are the club legends/heroes/characters in the team now? Players of outstanding quality who will serve the club for years or fan's favourites. Possibly Paaat but who else? we love huddersfeild giants we love wakefield too and bradford we love hull krrrrr but st helens we love you, do we fuc do we poop we love the cherry and white wigan warriors clap clap clap clap clap.

A couple of years ago we had Radders, Newton, Faz, etc.

Some creative inspiration needed before February methinks

Sean O'Loughlin (7 years) and Gareth Hock (6 years) are our longest serving players, both Wigan lads, both England regulars and O'Loughlin's our captain. Richards, Fielden, Riddell and Paleeaesina qualify under heroes/characters as well I guess.

Did anybody ever hear what Liverpool used to sing for Sinama Pongole?

I'd love to fit Sean O'Loughlin into the same tune. :)

Here's one that my mam taught me when I was a kid so it probably originates from the 40's or early 50's (adapted to include todays player of course)

Oh we aint got a barrel of money,
We don't want Longy or Cunny,
Just Piggy and Hock,
Running amok,
Side by side.

Ans as the season of goodwill has now passed, here's one from the 60's / 70's

We don't carry hammers,
We don't carry lead,
We only carry hatchets, to bury in your heads,
Cause, we are not supporters,
Fanatics every one,
We all hate St. Helens
Leeds and Warrington.

SAINTS THE ORIGINAL AND PERENNIAL CHEATS

For sale full Saints kit (circa 1989). Shirts in pristine condition, but shorts badly soiled.

For 27 - 0 you get a trophy
For 75 - 0 you get sod all.

Wigan had eight in a row
Saints have five in a row

Not keen on it, I like going commando and don't think it would go down too well at the JJB
