Genuinely interested, will you be able to share the gist of these decisions once he's gone?
I'll understand if you can't Bazza.

Really important this. No club ever prospers from constantly changing the coach, the new guy needs at least eighteen to twenty four months.
If there is no struggle, there is no progress. Those who profess to favor freedom, and yet depreciate agitation, are men who want crops without plowing up the ground. They want rain without thunder and lightning. They want the ocean without the awful roar of its many waters. This struggle may be a moral one; or it may be a physical one; or it may be both moral and physical; but it must be a struggle.

Then the great achievement of staying up , one of the best away wins ever at Wigan, the 42-6 derby , wins in France and the continued derby dominance in 08 an 09 and culminating in the 4th place finish in 09. All fantastic and "great to be a Rovers fan" moments in time without doubt.
However i say mid 09 despite the 4th place finish because i became aware JM had made some decisions about the future path of the club which i completely disagreed with and i have been a critic ever since. I think the downward silde since then confirms my fear . We are in effect behind schedule as to where we should have been. He had a "blank canvass" and good money to spend but wouldnt stray far from the nest in spending it unfortunately and his choice in only listening to the opinions of certain players (and coaching staff)and disregarding all others is not good squad management in my view. This coupled with his rigidity (which wasnt apparent in the first two seasons at least) has led to the current situation. I think JM must realise it is of his own making and no-one elses. This experience should help him become a better coach in the future and , away from his decisions on Rovers, he is a "good bloke". I think the chairman is genuinely sorrowful that it has come to this.
I think the decision is the correct one but i really thank Justin for been part of some great moments and memories . He will always have his place in Rovers history.
The problem we have now is that the new guy comes in without much of "blank canvass" without much room to work and it will take perhaps another 3 years before we see us really punching our weight.
Unless it is a complete disaster from minute one then i will have to restrain myself from jumping on the new incumbents back too early....

It's not a pleural.

Think the Galea, Dobbo and Green signings tell us where we are going but the HDM are well off the mark with the names they produced today, i will stay shtum if for nothing else its not signed sealed and delivered yet!! But if it comes off prepare for the top 4 regularly and challenges on all fronts as some of the names that will follow will be huge!!!!
