Mills was rewarded with a 2 year deal on the back of playing every league and cup game for us in 2008. Some record for a prop and the contract was well deserved.
However, since been rewarded with the contract his form has gone backwards at a rate that must even impress Chris Thorman.

GML was hinting that it wasn't though, as the mistake had been "rectified", perhaps implying he's been paid out?

He said 'rectifies' iirc. Changing the tense removes the possibility that he meant simply, that IHO, it'll be rectified passively - that is the mistake won't be repeated/compounded. Whichever he meant, I guess he'd be happy to leave it ambiguous - to avoid being wrong or it being a leak. If I didn't know better I'd say that you are, very elegantly, trying to make mischieve (sp?).

He said of Morgan "He does make mistakes like Mills getting 2 years but then he rectifies them." So if the mistake was a 2 year deal, and he's completed one year, how would the mistake become rectified unless he's shipped out?
