Leeds player steps off the mark by 3 metres and penalises Hull, whilst we were giving away some dumb penalties that he had no option to penalise, Leeds took the pee and Thaler just said do what you like. I thought at one point a Leeds player was in our attacking line he was so far offside when he was supposed to be behind the try line.
Typical crap refereeing performance that shows how Ganson has not only not improved matters but is taking the standard backwards.
One example of stepping off the mark, Ferris!! FFS he was just about on the defensive line when he actually played the balll. Why is that not a penalty to Hull?
Shaul being blocked by an off-side retreating defender yet gets pinged for a knock on.
Faraimo back tracking, does not deviate this direction yet gets pinged for what Thaler indicated was a shoulder charge, yet an obvious shoulder charge by JJB on Kelly after a kick gets no second loolk.
Given then Faraimo was sent off in the derby after the intervention of the VR, why is the VR not in the ear of the on field official at all televised games? Classic ball steal on Paea, 20 yards out, on 4th tackle, Thaler looks across to TG, who shrugs shoulders. Thaler there fore give a knock on. TV replay, within the next 30 seconds show a clear ball steal. If VR is there and is used retrospectively (Faraimo sending off in the Derby), then it should be for all incorrect decisions.
Finally, one of the things killing the game, this ridiculous obstruction rule. Not referring to the try Leeds scored (their second), nothing wrong with that, its the whole idea that the merest of touches on a player constitutes genuine interference and prevents a defender from getting to the ball carrier. its supposed to be a collision sport FFS. If this rule was applied consistently, then there would be a penalty every 3rd tackle when a dummy runner is in motion. This rule needs come clarity or binning off completely as it means dummy runners become a defensive dream.
