| Quote Sebasteeno="Sebasteeno"From where we are to challenging in two years? Not a chance! This is a five year program at least. Leigh had a better side in the championship than we have now. We need to replace half the team and will have to accept that some players we sign won't be that great but will be a stepping stone to something better.
Tbh I think the club and fans have to acknowledge we are at rock bottom so will only be signing players that other clubs don't want and the same goes for the coach. Tbh i think we're gonna have to take a chance with a young up and coming British coach as no decent coach will come here. And seen as Grix is already here then just give him a go but as a club support him with a decent set of support staff.'"
You also said Rovers were the real deal, but despite a neat full squad, seem to fail in the big games.
Much easier in rugby to make 6 top signings amd change the whole dynamic of the team, would also new a good coach, assistant and S&C team.
Whilst Leigh might have had a better side, they didn't have the young players to fill gaps that we will have.
I stand by my statement if (another big if) we get things right, we could challenge in two years time.

| With the youth players we have coming through in multiple positions, the club (if they had the funds and will to) could heavily invest 6 or 7 top signings. Previous years we haven't had the throughput from the academy, so have had to spread the cap around a bit to create greater depth.

| I'd heard Holbrook last week before all the Rowley chat started. He would be great for us, and I'm sure he would like to re-invent his Head Coach career after what happened at the Titans

Was unfairly sacked IMO.
Got worse since he left.
Turned Warrington down last season, so can't see him saying yes to us, hope I'm wrong.

From that list, I'd choose.
Holbrook
Morgan
Taylor
Morris.
Barrett
McDermott
These 6 have had previous experience as a Manager.

Some have failed in those positions though and we have just sacked one of the most successful and experienced SL coaches in history.

| IMO if it was 2018, Rowley takes the job. Regardless of Smith failing I think that will raise some eyebrows out there. I dare even say, if KR offered him the job he would take it.
In an ideal world we would get confirmation of investors, the next wayne bennett and announce Bevan French. That isnt going to happen.
If the signings were correct 2026 could see us right up there, I echo Dave Ks thoughts where we have youngsters who will provide greater depth.
But the main priority is steadying the ship, get some wins under the belt and slowly start to put the puzzle pieces together. Until we can stop the rot, getting a better atmosphere around the club we will continue to miss out on top targets.
Thats why its important even if its a long shot to not give up on this season. I do think we will sign a scrum half but that wont happen till we have a new coach in my opinion.

Far from it,never have and never will be
That said as a club they are miles ahead of us and a coach who knows what he is doing.
They are also pro active in the transfer market with another great signing for the future in Broadbent.
said months ago along with one or two others we should try and sign him as a future centre but could have also played in the halfs tillTruemen was back which would have helped us a lot.
You and some of your mates on here should get real.
This club is on its knees and its all to do with poor management.
Myler and his pot of money is a joke.Would he have got the job if he didnt come with his bag of money NO.
Other than selling merchandise the club is clueless

| I'm surprised Jim Dymock hasn't kicked on with his coaching career . He was touted as a possible first team coach by many within the game a few years back .
