| .... it odd how when Connor appears ineffective at standoff it's the player's fault (probably true), but when McNamara, in his first SL start, doesn't quite live up to people's expectations, it's the coach's fault.

| Quote hull2524="hull2524"they all give it there best shot, we needed to cover scott a bit better on the kicks, but otherwise he ran hard all night, thought macnamera tackled ok but not a lot else but hes young, all in all the lads can hold there heads high,
'"
A good coach seeing what was happening would have taken Scott off, moved Fonua to the wing,Connor into the right centre and brought on Connor Wynne at full back.
Whats the point of having Satae doing cameo appearances off the bench? we know he can do longer minutes.
Bienek hardly saw the ball so how can Last complain we had no bench impact because if you dont give the front row the ball to run then they cant make an impact
This coach is miles out of his depth

When a new coach comes in i think it will be Sneyd who comes under pressure to start performing.
There is a lot more to being a half back than kicking.
The game is now full of players who can kick a ball as good or even better than Sneyd and we all know his running game leaves a lot to be desired.
Albo is the only half back we have who can play with Sneyd as he is a runner who engages a defence.
McNamara was not given the freedom to play last night and the coach should have sent down a message to give him more of the ball.
Connor is a good full back but even better centre. He will never make the grade as a top half back

Spot on The coach should have sorted that They arrnt going to kick to Briscoes side are they Its not his forte
Just lob it up to a 7 foot winger and hang Scott out to dry On top of that Scott got a coaching class from Connor after 70 minutes on how to stick his arms up to catch the ball Its beyond belief

Difference been Connor gets plenty of ball when playing 6 so we can have decent conversation on his performance, hard to say on McNamara last night, the few things he did, he did well, would like to off seen more.

Two wins from thirteen. Not great but they love to keep the ball alive which is the main thing.

Tbf people were praising them during a purple patch a month or so back. They've gone off a cliff since. But regardless, their squad is the worst in SL by a mile, its not really a fair comparison.

| However Rovers are still Top of the
“ We lost but weren’t beaten League”
That was the funniest thing since 50-0 and the Russian investor who knew Del Boy and made his money investing in Siberian wine

| More organisation at end of set plays, less off the cuff make it up as you go
Better use of Forwards , distribution of carries , dummy runners, running onto the ball at pace, minutes played
Better exploitation of opposition weaknesses , see the first line.
Faster defensive line speed although it's been better lately
And the biggy for me is the discipline in the tackle, were terrible for ripping the ball out needlessly, interfering and giving really really needless penaltys away that often kill us.
Would love a coach to address the above, I think Last has got us playing with more heart , and abit more effort but still a lot to polish up and work on.
Really think the Forwards need an overhaul, too much deadwood for me and wasted cap. The only two that I think are consistent despite probably being misused at times regarding playing time etc are Satae and Sao
Matongo, Bowden, Bienek, Ellis are four for varying reasons I'd be reviewing , exclude Ellis as he's going anyway. Then looking at what's out there, shame Gil Dudsons off to Catalans as he's exactly the type of forward I think would do a better job than the other Three.
