Nobody mentioned the possibility of using Pat as centre if carmont is still out? He'll give Ainscough a bit of protection under the high ball, sure up the defence on that side, as well as possibly allowing phelps to continue at full back?

It wasn't, but pat wasn't as comfortable in the team or playing as well then. Also pat has a good reputation now, and would have been targeted before. Something tells me they're not gonna aim for him when they put kicks up wherever he is.... |

Surely you would have Richards at Full Back ahead of Phelps? Coley to start so that you can use Feka for impact? Just my view and if Wigan went with your side I think Saints would be quite happy. |

I still dont think that Millward was given enough time at Wigan. Things dont happen overnight and I think thats half the problem with clubs these days that they dont give the coaches a chance to shine. |

Supporters expect success right away when new coaches are appointed and 9 times out of 10 this doesnt happen. I dont just mean Millward but any coach. People from all sports should take the lead of the Manchester United board who refused to sack Sir Alex Ferguson all them years ago. He built the club from the youth academy to the first team and to this day I am convinced that if they had sacked Ferguson United wouldnt have had the quarter of the trophies they have today. |

True infact i am sure Wigan would have added to there giant haul of trophies by now had millward been in charge for a longer period of time.
Sat alongside the numerous honours and trophies I think we could also now have the Northern Rail Cup and maybe a NL1 Title too!
How anyone could say Millward deserved longer at the club is beyond me!! |
