That is what I was hinting at, I did not see many on Sunday who gave me much encouragement if we had injuries to the players who did not play on Sunday. |

To be fair, it was their first pre-season game against a Leigh side with several very experienced players. What were you expecting? We also had one playmaker in the side against a strong Championship team that could boast several; and our only playmaker was an 18 year old with little experience above under 18's level.
They picked out a weakness at right centre, but Burgess isn't going to play right centre for the first team, not for several years or possibly at all given he's a winger. If there were injuries in the halves we'd ideally have Powell and Williams to call on and wouldn't be sticking a hooker at 6.
Taylor and Dudson were disappointing but sometimes players do struggle to perform in pre-season. Last year several players looked below par after two or three games and we ended up finishing top. Besides, Dudson always plays like that in reserve/academy games.
Maybe we will struggle, perhaps most of the players aren't good enough but that game gave absolutely no indication of what many of those players are capable of. |

Hopefully in this game the players will get a bit more of a chance to play some rugby, whilst also having to do some hard defensive work. There are 5 first team players added which should help, although how much will only be found out during the game, and the side should have a better balance than the one that played Leigh. |
