On a different point, should the worst happen (Relegation) does the news about the Reserve League help us?? Less players to go out on DR for the other champ sides?? Will we get to hold onto more of our young u19 players and use them in the reserve, rather than having to let some go??

Would not say it actually helps us, its good for the game overall though.

Im still not sure it's a given Leeds don't seem to be able to drag themselves clear and wakey and Huddersfield have played themselves into the battle there are certainly some twists and turns before the season is over

I've heard it said a few times that SL contracts are void upon relegation. No evidence it's true or else Widnes would have got rid of a lot of players last winter. But, either way, Pitts signed his new contract when we were in the Championship, so it is not a SL specific contract. Why would it be one that is void upon relegation? It doesn't make sense.



Re Cunningham, it wasn't long ago that Hull fans were saying his girlfriend had just started a job in London and therefore he was likely to be staying down here. Only saw the rumour about him on loveRL the other day, not seen it anywhere else. He is out of contract though.



Battye is also out of contract this year, as are Krasniqi, Fleming, Gee, Hellewell, Kear, Yates, Walker, and (I think) Ioane. And, of course, Morgan.

I would hope clubs that are at the bottom end of the table are getting wise to the contract issue and the drop. Aston for example must be aware that we are still fave in most bookies eyes to get relegated, same with elois so woujd not be surprised if contracts cover all cases!

All depends really on finances, can the club still pay the wages if the drop, in the end that's what a lot of contracts are based on, what's the pay packet.

Time the game had a transfer & loan period deadline of end of May, this season it has gone crazy with players being loaned out, perhaps it will all change next season with reserve grade rugby, I hope so!



Farce from Tony Smith that Hull KR beat us with two top Wire loan forwards, then he is upset because they are recalled! and then Wire do not play them, but also Saints resting players against us! Leigh bringing in Clark who joins Wigan next season to help their promotion chase, and they are looking for more players, the transfer deadline this season was put back until 9th August, why? for me its crazy!

Perhaps to allow our northern brothers the best possible chance of finishing above Broncos!
