| I have been against the qualifiers, but this season has proved me wrong. Who will be playing in the million pound game and who will be in super league next season will not be known until the games have been played next weekend.
I thought yesterdays game was one of the best I have ever seen Broncos play it was there with Broncos beating Saints at Knowsley Road for the first time and The wins against Leeds at Headingly.
After all of the comments about the standard of refereeing on this forum over the last 2 months I think the referee proved what the majority of users of this forum have been saying, it was the worst standard of refereeing I have seen for along time and I agree with all of the comments above about the mistakes he made.
Well done to the team for their performance yesterday in defense and attack and well done for not losing the plot over the referees decisions against them.

| The really weird thing about this season is that a team could finsh on 8 points and miss out on MPG. Also with Tolouse playing first (on thursday), it gives both us, KR and Toronto an advantage, as we will know how much we need to win by on the Saturday.
Also seeing how Tolouse was robbed in Toronto, if I was a Tolouse fan at the moment, I would be asking some serious questions on just how fair the RFL and scheduling is. I really hope Fax win today, as then it will put RFL right in a pickle, they don't want Leeds in MPG, and they want Toronto at home in MPG, so a fax win today would give the RFL a really big headache.
Come on FAX, put on a performance today, beat Leeds, then switch off next week, and let us get 50+

| Battye deserved to be binned. It seemed like we were enjoying defending our own line so much in the first half we voluntarily conceded penalty after penalty, and the referee correctly put us on a team warning and Battye was the victim. I didn't think he had a bad game in all honesty. Missed a couple of fairly flat passes but otherwise no complaints from me.
Echoing other comments, that's one of the best performances I've seen by London in a very long time (although I've not really bothered going since the Super League days). Incredible defensive effort to keep them to 0 at half time. Ward clearly had a game plan to contain Salford and keep them penned in, executed to perfection by Sammut et all. Dixon MOTM for me, a fine sight to see him driving 4 Salford forwards backwards towards their own posts. Made yards all day.
Sad to say that it'll probably be my first and last visit to Ealing if we keep playing on Sundays. It's just too far for me. Real shame Castle Bar Park is closed. While the facilities seemed decent for season holders, they are hideous for walk ups. Used to go to games with 5+ friends but there's no way they would enjoy that experience. Shame.

As Castlebar Park is an unmanned station from 10am , I fail to see why they close it anyway?

Does it matter?
It only takes 5-10 minutes on the bus up from Ealing Broadway. EB connects with two tube lines and the train.
Should also be connecting with Crossrail but that's not happening any time soon

| Was not at the game so can’t comment on the battye penalty, but teams, not just london, play dumb! Get put on a team warning, they have to be squeaky clean for at least next couple of sets, they can do it, it’s proven after the sin bin they stop infringing!
If it happened! If broncos won that spot, it then brings up the question of the capacity of Ealing, stand or no stand! So castlebar park might not be an issue.
Then there is that fun fun trip up the m6 or m1 on a fri night to watch a game.
Then the whole debate of when to play home games never mind where starts up.

Quite right on all counts, northernbloke. Forgive me for being somewhat out of loop but has there been a suggestion of a new stand at the existing facility? I doubt even that will bring the ground anywhere near to Super League standard? I appreciate that this has probably been discussed to death but I'm new to the forum (again).

Good point about Crossrail especially as I'm 10 minutes away from the station in Woolwich. I just hate relying on buses...

I pretty much used buses 100% of the time I was home last month...they run o-time (in Ealing/Hanwell anyway) and there's an app for seeing when the next one is due at your stop.
The legal capacity at the ground is just over 3k IIRC and any new "stand" sic will have to be a temporary one as no planning permissions have been received or even sought, so they might get the capacity up to 4k.......which will be fine for all but Leeds, Saints and Wigan. The Stoop is too far away, but Griffin Park will be in its death throws next year, so maybe there for those 3 games?
