I had a moan when it was going crap but I was also the 1st to acknowledge that the staff & players had turned it round.
Another win tonight against a Cas team who imo will be the team to be relegated - regardless of the loan signing of Austin.
Huge credit to young Sam who came in for heavy criticism from our own coach with a fine hat trick tonight.
That's 4 wins on the trot for the Giants - we'llsee how far we've come next Sunday when we play Saints away.

| I am happy that the team have shown spirit and turned it around, but i am not going to suddenly change my mind on the lack of quality in our spine. Connor is now playing well and combinging with Lolohea well, as i've said on the Cas thread i think this run will continue for a while yet, but will fizzle out when we play quality sides who want it as much as we do due to that lack of quality, would love to be proved wrong

| looks like a lot of rebuilding been done for next season. i am hearing we have signed
Adam Swift
Andre Savellio and
Adam Clune
These are all decent players in positions that do need strengthening
i expect a lot of outgoings though with all of the below possible going
Mcgillvary
Pryce
Thages
O Brien
Jones
Trout
Ashworth
Mason
Ikahifho
McQueen
Of all those i would most like to see McQueen sign for 1 more year

I believe Ikahihifo signed a new 2 year deal last year, he's one I'd definitely keep, his impact off the bench is huge for us.

| Clune looks a decent playmaker, partnered with Lolohea and with Connor at fullback thats a lot of the spine sorted. Nine is still a problem, Clune doesn't look like a running threat, so there is still no running threat in the middle of the park, would love us to sign someone with some pace or ability to break the line from the ruck. Look at what Ipape has done for Leigh this year. Nonetheless i'm happy we seem to have acquired a better standard of half than we currently have.

Imagine having Levi in that team, he'd be superb but sadly its not meant to be.

Aussie half back who plays for Newcastle Knights. It is rumoured he has signed for the Giants despite interest from Leeds and Hull.

Who's the Knob now? Being impressed with missing the playoffs and losing to the vast majority of teams at home despite having the most resources available to any coach certainly since Nathan Brown would see most coaches sacked by now. All this on the back of 'We will regularly be competing with Saints'. Amazing how little our fans expect, a few wins against bottom of the table sides and you got excited. We are a poor side, that lacks pace has no decent hooker and a shocking half back combination. We are where we deserve to be in the league and it is one man's fault.

| C'mon Ken. I hate to say i told you so, but i told you so. Best players all leaving, 9th best team in the league with joint 3rd spend. Can't win a game at home and playing boring process driven game that no players or fans want to watch/play.
With the kind of funding he has been given it should have been elementary my dear Watson, but he is in way over his head and was obviously lucky with whoever was really pulling the strings at Salford while he was there (look how is is continuing on a shoestring)
To quote labour 'isn't it time for a change?'

| The biggest mystery for me is not why I Watson gets away with it after what he has achieved in his time at the club ( with the money made available to him ) The mystery for me is why Mr Davy keeps going. He could have gone to almost any other S league club and had many time as much success for his money.
There is one thing that is blatantly obvious and that is , building a good league side is not just about throwing money at it , the success of other clubs on far less money shows that and its not just about the coach either, Though i believe that is the single most important thing. There is a whole feeling about the club that says looser, Mr Davy has gone to enormous lengths to try to make a good club but all his money and all his effort has proved to be not enough to get the fans to turn up and watch . My advice is to forget about signing the big name players like Burgess ( who will be expected to transform us into a good side) We have been down that road many times right back to the Scofield days. Yes we do need good players and Star players but the most important thing for me is to have the right people in the right places off the field first and it doesn't strike me as being a club with that.
I watson would not have lasted a half of what he has at the giants at some clubs because they do not accept mediocrity , when things look like they are starting to go wrong they do something about it very quickly whether it be coach or a mistake in signed players or backroom staff they get on with putting things right. the giants are far more likely to go out and sign another big name player and expect that to bring the fans rolling back. For me the coach is the key man and we have the wrong one, he may well work at another club i don't know but he is not working at Fartown, We are no better than when he came for all his talk. If Mr Davy can't see that then we are destined to be forever bottom feeders.
