 France Pull Out Of Hosting The 2025 World CupIf you were busy making plans to take in the rugby league World Cup jamboree across the channel in 2025, you´d better put away those guidebooks and log-off the hotel booking sites, as it has officially been announced that France will no longer be the hosts, plunging the next tournament into a pit of doubt. In any sane world, securing the necessary financial backing BEFORE announcing that you were hosting the tournament would have been the obvious thing to do. This, however, is RL, in whose waters the good ship Common Sense rarely sails. |

This has potentially serious implications for the game as a whole.
It makes it much harder to sell TV rights for SL if the international game is in turmoil - again.

It's not like French governments to put blocks in the road for RL though is it? Union is all powerful and lobbies media and state to keep it that way.
