Depends see, if you're just trying to impress the Mrs, do what I do.

A full 360 around the car, sometimes backing away to get a full panoramic, but eye contact never leaving the car. Put your hand on the car, sort of around the boot and walk, your hand will gloss across the bodywork and sort of pull a knowing face, (not disimilar to what Robbie Williams does, when performing, like an upside down smile), keep walking, kick the tyres, that's always a good one. Then to finish, get down to ground zero, on the floor, and come up, pull your slacks up and say something like "Yup, looks pretty good, it's got a new exhaust, new stuffer expander, It's in good nick underneath like."

When it breaks down within weeks, and you're asked why you didn't spot it, just say "I don't know anything about cars.".

I got a 11 month old Corsa from there in January and agree about it being great value.

IRRC the AA or RAC used to offer a service where they would come out and check approx 100 points around the vehicle before the potential buyer agreeed to buy the vehicle, hope this helps a little.

Why not go to the sites RugbyChick listed ^^^^^^ and copy the source codes in the MetaTags/MetaNames that they use?

I already know of the sites of the companies that offer a similar service and have looked at those.

The question is, if you wanted a car looked at and didnt know someone who did it what would you search for?

The engineer called Alan by any chance.

My old man is the Dekra Engineer for this area, trying to setup a website which drives more of the local work direct to him. As with any franchise system they take their cut off the top.
