Welshnutter, a small correction if I may. I was in front of the trouble and a mate of mine saw it all. Our usual singers having decamped over the other end of the ground to sing in the stands, a fairly large group of guys took up the challenge to respond to Salford and did a good job all game after some tidy noise from the Reds. Then a small group of OUR teenagers started singing and shouting football chants pretty much in the ears of a group of Salford lasses. One of these girls snapped and clouted a teen, which signalled the start of a small scuffle. Fair play to our marshalls though. They knew where the trouble started and herded the Crusaders fans of that area away, even though the majority caught in the herding were innocent. It took the gloss off the win a little for me. We have the beginnings of a good history, you and us. 5 Meetings. 3 wins to you, 2 to us and the extra win was only by a penalty kick in the dying seconds of the grand final. Against each other we are pretty level and I hope both sides consider it a derby of sorts. I also hope WE can keep a lid on the stroppy exuberance of some of our kids to avoid any further unpleasantness. Good luck to you guys for the remainder of the season and congrats on taking Leeds

[quote="welshnutteruk"]Today i drank with true salford fans in bridgend but what a bunch of asses you hare for starting fighting grow up because u are not true fans the true ones i enjoysed a drink with
its a GAME of RUGBY DEAL with it[/quote
what an inbred , can anyone make out what he is saying , answer on a postcard please
Smithy being Welsh I'll translate:
He had a great time drinking with the sociable travelling Salford fans, but did not like the scuffle on the terraces, suggesting those fans were a r s e h o l e s. I had a slightly different view of it and suggest that the instgators were a small number of OUR teen fans. Anyway, it was dealt with quickly and effectively by the marshalls and should not be allowed to mar an otherwise great (for us) game. Great humour in defeat by your lads though.
Oh a further correction though. I've had more information. It seems the women were getting it in the neck because the woman with the free hands kept goading the boys about the Bridgend suicides. Given their ages and that I knew one or two of them, I believe they will have at least known a few of the kids that ended their lives.
That being the case - though I don't condone violence unless EVERYONE is up for it - the b i t c h had it coming.
Still glad to see the rest of you though.

i did not see the incident but heard the sirens later. i parked on that pub behind the ground, near tescos and had great banter with the locals. We stood near some locals in the 2nd half, who all game talked about something else rather than rugby and when the salford fans near the bar sang. they just shouted drunken abuse.

I was really really suprised by the amount of cocks that celtic have watching them, some of them were getting rather fresh!!
Salford RLFC
Folly ARLFC
Good john wilky last looked out
on the pitch at salford.
when the snow lay round about
deep and crisp and even
brightly played the lads that night
though the frost was cruelllll
when poor swinton scored a try
we had 94urrrrrrrrrr
funnily enough, some of our crowd are saying the same about some Salford fans too. I know I saw one big thung-beast hurling abuse and threats, right up until we took the lead. But he was being a d1ck before the match too. I had the pleasure of standing close behind him in the ticket queue. Info I've seen is that the ground manager's report has been sent to Salford and that 'fans' from both sides are facing bans.
Let's just agree that both of our teams have some c0cks following them and not let their idiocy ruin our game.
