| Quote Ferocious Aardvark="Ferocious Aardvark"Another thing which i found strange was that, after being the best creative, attacking and freescoring forward that the world has ever seen, we have menzies almost always taking the ball up from first receiver, wtf is that all about? It is not a rle that he has ever played, why isn't he further away from the ruck, among the centres and back rowers, running at defences and doing what he does best? I presume he's playing where he's told to, but we are not utilising him to the best advantage.
In answer to the chap who rightly pointed out that Crookes got eaten, well yes he did, but people can't have it both ways, you can't keep yelling for young 'uns to be given a chance, then be surprised when they play like greenhorns. What next - call s for Mac to drop Crookes?? If the lad is to have any chance then he needs exactly that - a chance. If he gets plenty of game time I am sure he will develop. Getting skinned by Yeaman like he did is what is going to happen to a young lad at times.
In response to Bullseye, well yes we did get badly caught out for the first try, but there are times when you can't blame the team and should just stand up and applaud (as I did) amazing skills such as the two Thorman "specials", those would be scored against anybody and were rugby of the highest order.
I would also like to praise the hull FC fans, sure they're top of the table but it's still early days, yet they cam across in very large numbers.
'"
Excellent point regards Crookes. The young players need exposing to the best centres in super league to help with their development.
I well remember a young Yeaman been taken to the cleaners by Martin Gleeson. Yeaman got taught a lesson that day and vowed that it would never happen again, its all part of the learning curve. Dropping him for the wrong reasons will not help the kids development.

| I thought it was a lot better performance today, the defence was still poor and needs work but at least we looked more inventive going forward.
The game was really lost in the first five minutes, a terrible start. That said after the first five minutes we matched Hull (top of the league don't forget) point for point and if we hadn't lost our cool a couple of times in attack we could of scored more.

However, I want to know who the joker is who placed a certain advertising hoarding right smack in front of the Bulls bench:

| Well it was pretty dismal once again. I was hoping to see some fire in their bellies today but I was largely disappointed.
The opening was dire and our passing was once again amateurish I'm afraid. Despite some almost comically bad passing we did manage to put together a few good tries. We're still carrying some passengers, what exactly did Deacon do today? He was almost anonymous apart from his conversions and the one decent kick for the try. Newton was again poor, although does seem to have perfected the art of giving away a cheap penalty and then making a lazy attempt at a tackle to allow the opposition to score. Surely he won't get a new contract for 2010, at times it's hard not to question his commitment.
When you have two ineffective half backs and a hooker who cannot even get back into the defensive line nevermind deliver a decent pass then you'll always end up on the losing side.
If I was McNamara I would be ringing every contact I had in the NRL to see if we can bring over a half back to bring some direction to this shambles. Has there been any further news on Witt? He'd give us the kicking game that Deacon once provided.

| Well the game was worse than i hoped for but better than I feared.. especially after going 12-0 down after 6 minutes.
By the end of the game of the game I thought our attack actually showed some signs of gelling.
Trying to be optimistic I thought we showed signs that we may play like a team one day soon.
