I was a little apprehensive which way this result would go after our inconsistent form of win a game lose a game and especially with the weather and how poor we have performed in previous wet weather games this season. But I thought we played the conditions relatively well for the 80 mins. Mcdonnell is really growing into a top second rower adding tries to his game. Lisone had some great moments carrying and putting shots on just wish he could find a bit more match fitness as he's blowing after 15 mins and needs to be spelled. Holroyd try was great to see he's got great footwork and pace for a big man. Handley looked very comfortable and slik moving to Full back when we lost Sezer took his tries very well. Hopefully this kick starts our season now getting back to back wins.

Hull are poor but tgat was the best 80 we’ve put in, we played the conditions just right, werent afraid to play but nothing silly

Anyone know why macdonald went off, or sezer after he passed his hia?



That last 20 saw a real makeshift backline.

I would assume neither risked as game won.

Suspect the fasting they've been doing played a part in it. To say it was truly terrible conditions we played some good stuff. Onwards and upwards.

Hes not been himself since Rohan told him he'd be playing some time at hooker, maybe he's got a pod on!

Maybe he just has a groin injury.

Decent performance in the conditions. Handley did well at fullback but unsurprisingly the attack stuttered with all the positional changes and poor weather.

Highlights were another impressive stint from Lisone who is starting to look like the impact prop we hoped ge would be. Holroyd again was excellent and with Oledski getting back to fitness we have some real firepower up front.

Some thoughts.



Lisone was excellent, he clearly just needed some time to get up to speed.



Austin is also playing himself into another contract, he’s been excellent this year.



Handley looks really quite comfortable at full back.



Tommy Holroyd deserves his England call up, chuffed to buts for him after a torrid couple of years.



I am starting to see glimpses of the team RS wants us to be and it’s good.
