I, as a Christian, believe that God determines what is right and what is wrong. God has told us to love him, our neighbour too, and to not hate or murder. These are clearly good standards of morality, but they are totally different to God's righteous judgment and wrath. It is good that we are held to account for our rebellion. If anything, this makes me love God even more, for he is a just God.
I will not condemn him, I will love him.
Quote:No. No we do not. Death had been around for several hundreds of millions of years before the earliest man had evolved.
Obviously I disagree.
Quote:Again, moral cowardice.
"I can't tell you why 'God' causes good people to suffer, but you must accept that he knows best and love him anyway. Or go to hell."
Nothing cowardly about it. I recognise that we must all die, but I just don't know why some people suffer more than others.
Quote:It can hardly be deemed to be patience if they have been 'predestined' for hell, can it?
God could strike them down now and send them straight to Hell, but he doesn't, for he is a patient and loving God.
Quote:He won't. Once you've seen that the emperor is naked, it's impossible to ever picture him with clothes on again.
Tell that to the Luke 15:11-32
