The Dons pre-season campaign got under way at the weekend when the players and coaches participated in the very tough 26 mile walk from Scarborough to Whitby.
Head coach Tony Miller said: "The weekend went really well and it proved to be a very worthwhile team bonding session for the players.
"It took us around seven hours to complete including a lunch break and must admit it was very demanding on the
legs."
/>
New signing Lee Waterman commented: "I really enjoyed the weekend and thought it was a great way to get to know the other
lads.
/>
"We all got on really well and it seemed that we had known each other for ages which is
promising.
/>
"Everyone worked effectively as a team and pushed each other all the way when the going got tough especially on the Whitby Abbey steps on the Sunday
morning.
/>
"I'm a bit stiff today and my calves are sore but I loved every minute - even when the lads passed the log to me on the steep bits of the walk!"
The player's have the evening off from training as a reward for their efforts at the weekend and will return to training on Wednesday evening.
