Sour grapes. FWIW I actually think Wellens should be applauded for being brave and attempting to dive on a ball for his team where there was quite clearly a chance that he could get injured. Unfortunately these things happen in contact sports- i havent heard Wellens moan about or any Saints fans for that matter.



He should worry about how completely inept Ade Gardner is in defence and worry less about what other teams are/aernt doing!

The incident in which Wellens was injured was quite clearly an innocent high-speed collision involving two brave players. What Potter said is a shameful slur against Karl Fitzpatrick.

i read about this on monday and thought what a load of b----cks. There was no intention to harm anyone-it was a case of salford trying to score a try and saints trying to stop one. I would never wish for any serious injury to any player in our great game and feel the saints coach should be aknowledging Paul Wellens courage for putting his body on the line rather than having a pop at our guys. Sour grapes and very unprofessional in my opinion.

Perhaps Potter will take action of his own after 'that sort of challenge'.
