That would have made him the perfect DJ for me. What has his sporting knowledge got to do with him being a good DJ? surely he is as knowledgable of the local music scene as anyone at the station and would/did get guests on the back of his personal friendships rather than them wanting to appear on XFM.

MAaybe one of the reasons is that he still lives in london .saw him sometimes on the man airport flight to london city when i ive been goin home to antwerp. asked a old schoolmate who works for the bbc in london she says he may be on one of there stations in the future.

Don't get me wrong, that wasn't a criticism of Boon, but I used to like the football banter in a morning with Manford/McLean and then Boon's infinite musical knowledge on the way home.
