Welcome to the NEW RLFANS.COM. After twenty-five years of service, the old site expired over the last few days. To maintain service we have had no option but to make an early switch to the new site which was in development/testing. Some elements of the new site are unfinished, such as; page numbering and quotations. We will fix these minor issues as soon as we can, please bear with us. As a cas fan who many of you know I attend the Willows quite a lot, I think your being harsh on Salfords effort.
Yes, it was a very poor game indeed and both sides are well of the pace for Super League.
BUT, Cas completed 96% in the second half and forced about 5 drop outs. Now, we didnt pass the ball and thats why we didnt drop it, but it meant we had the lions share of possession and theres little Salford could do about it.
That was Cas stiffling Salford, not a lack of effort from you guys. I thought they really dug in and Ray Cashmere and Ryan Boyle were the best props on the field.
Stick with your lads, we know how you feel too, but your team needs you guys just like ours needs us right now. And Ill help cheer you on at The Willows as much as I can!
my gripe is when i read this bull in paers bout were all together and training really well then produce that garbage!id rather they put up or shut up!i think most fans are now past the point of going to away matches and watching sides that are in and around us in the league turning us over!its so frustrating when you see how well we can perform, hull, huddersfield, even wigan in defeat, anyway, rant over!
Back to back 30's against two of the leagues worst performing sides, Catalan who have been getting hammered against all and sundry and Cas losing 5 from 6 home games including being dumped from the cup by an NL1 side says all you need to know about our shower and no wonder oddschecker have us as odds on for the wooden one.
Maybe the club could let us know which games they can be bothered competing in ?
Sometimes it does feel that the team "decide" to play or not to play. As you say it would be useful if they could let us know their decision beforehand so we can decide not to travel. Here's a suggestion, if the players let us know in advance that they will not be putting in much effort, all the fans that were going to travel can put their travel costs and entrance money into a kitty and we can use this to start buying breezeblock to build a new stadium - what odds we would get it built before the club!
