It's an interesting one. If it could be redeveloped it could be just the sort of thing we are looking for. However, we dont have that sort of cash or that kind of financial backing.

Like you say it can be developed,but can it be developed enough to host super league games which must be the aim,I doubt it,but also it would take top brass to upgrade that to a standard championship facility,Would be good for transport and close to the former home,If there wasnt a franchise system and it wasnt all about the ground it would be a slight possibility,Unfortunatly you need a nice shiny stadium and £4.00 burgers and hotdogs to get into super league,Forget results its all about the hotdogs.

The council would probably sell you the site for ten bob if you committed to develop it.



Which would, of course, cost considerably more.

Could it be a training facility,academy games/reserves,income from owning bar,If owned all we would need is one of us to have a big euro millions win in the foreseable future and we would be laughing.

Must be worth thinking about for the right price. Have you been to Oldhams new ground? Basic is not the word to describe it properly, but at least they own it and can develop it in time.

I would say that Woodburn is a far better site than that for access, space and parking, and also a nicer area.
