no babble here just interested in the div 3 league, plus see you men as a challenge at your place ( 3 weeks) so guna be keeping a watchful eye on your fixtures plus theres no harm in gangin up on the inbreeders. especially ones that have lost 5 games and think there guna win the league

. in my opinion SV cant lose again. the top 5 will be not in this order like but moss bank west bank dalton spring view and woolston thats who the league out of.

I think the top 2 will be West Bank and Woolston (not in that order!), with Moss Bank 3rd and Dalton/Spring View coming 4th.



If West Bank can keep that side together every week that beat us (Woolston) at West Bank, then I cant see them losing many, if any, more games.



Woolston have a decent run in :-

Saddleworth, Heysham, Haresfinch and Langworthy at home.

Heysham, Hindpool, Dalton, Moss Bank and Spring View away.



Id say, if the lads have their heads on, then 6 of those are wins with 3 tough away games.

to be honest clint you have 4 tough away games we both know moss bank and SV are tough at home but dalton are no pushover and heysham are big unit that play on a tight pitch, there problem is there fitness. ithink its crazy that the four that got promoted last season are in the mix again and shows each of are teams are recruiting well.

Hindpool 12- 34 Spring View



A decent game with spring views persistant line battering that previaled in the end, was surprised to be honest with Hindpools game plan, they threw and caught the ball well at times and I think that a team not on their game could quite easily come unstuck up there.

langworthy called game off at 1.00 due to frozen pitch. i personally think they didnt have a side. so got drunk instead

We had a pitch inspection at 12 and our local ref said we could play, albeit on the junior pitch. Official ref he say "No" just as the Saddleworth bus rolled up. Everyone wanted to play, we've played on worse pitches. The pitch took a key and a stud but had a few icy patches that he deemed dangerous, despite the kids training on it this morning. Very, very frustrating.

i bet you werent as frustrated as the saddleworth lads they must have been really annoyed gettin all the way down there and then no game

Dalton travelled to moss bank and the game was called off 5 minutes before kick off. Nobody had checked the pitch. Both teams were changed and on the pitch.

That is disgusting

After our fiasco on Saturday I went to watch the Wizards play the RAF at RAF Cranwell in Lincs on Sunday. The pitch was rock hard - much worse than ours on Saturday - yet the game went ahead. It all comes down the the referee's opinion and as we found out, they don't always agree with each other.

Thing is though Milly, is it not the Individual referees responsibility to have to pitch checked in good time to inform travelling away teams of any postponements. We set off to Hindpool at about 11.15 on saturday morning, and got there in good time to strip and warm up. Surely a referee should make a call on a pitch prior to that time.





And in all honesty particularly when the teams from cumbria are involved a common sense approach has got to be taken by the home teams to make a call early on Saturday mornings.



Never the less, the rain has got rid of the snow in Wigan overnight

It is the home club's responsibility to contact a local referee to inspect the pitch if there is likely to be any doubt on the game going ahead. Also it is part of the match referee's pre-match duties to inspect the pitch on his arrival.

The ref had travelled from coventery aswell

i was pretty annoyed that langworthy had called game off b4 we set off but no am greatful. if i had travelled hours to play and then get told you cant there would be war.



on another note hindpool not been on here since there defeat maybe they have conceded the title.

I have been waiting for you my friend. On reflection winning the league is out of reach now so I will settle for promotion. Regarding the Dalton, Moss Bank game does anyone know if Moss Bank didnt have a side as the Dalton lads suspect.

i heard on the grapevine that moss bank 10 1st teamers and 4 under 17s/18s playin not sure how true it is. i also heard that woolston 2nds have folded if anyone can clear that up.

MMM, i heard that little rumour aswell in the Hindpool clubhouse.

I think we and our U18's are at home this weekend, so our pitch might be left in abit of a state after the rain/snow its put down here in the last few days!

Got an email a few days ago off NWC stating that Woolston 'A' had folded.

well thats how close it is cowies. i remember last time i travelled to your place. it was the most physical game i have played in my life. it was also my favourite. there the best games to be involved in even though we were hammered 36-10 it was quality i just hope your ready for next time round because i no we will be

. i do beleive if we win that game we could possibly go on to win the league, and if your lot win it then promotion could be on the cards.

If the league do what they are proposing to do by making each division ten teams, personally I can't see there being any promotions this season

the league are undecided what to do. teams have got to change because moorfield from the prem are relegated as they have conceded 4/5 games so the champions of div 1 will get promoted. i think they will cut the leagues to 10 but will promote the champions still. so whats the reason woolston 2nds have folded then are you struggling for numbers.
