With a big event already booked in the city, the last thing the police needed was a real meaningful Derby.
The kick off is well into the beer hour and with all the families in the city listening to the festival it COULD boil over.
I hope no one gets hurt and the rugby league world can reflect on a great event and headlines of thugs scrapping are for the football pages.

A bit pointless threads like this. I doubt many people on these forums involve themselves in trouble because we're all rugby league fans. Some are Rovers, others are misguided, but we all love the game. The trouble is caused by people who are more interested in getting tanked up than anything going on on the pitch.

Agree there, unfortunately some of our Ref's want to be in the limelight, how many times this season have (all the clubs) fans half forgot about the game, and just debated the man in the middle? our standard of refereeing is very, very poor! the RFL should try entice ex-players to become refs, at least they have the experience of being on the playing side! |
