Speaking of work, I'm back on Tuesday. This week has flown by.

| Anyway, need to take my Mum out for lunch next Friday, it's her birthday.
I'm not feeling flush enough to take her to Pipe And Glass, I was thinking of that Italian in Hessle, I've never been but I've heard good things. What's it called?
Anyone got any other good places they've been to recently?

| San Luca? I've never been but like you I've heard it's nice.
The Purple Cow in Cottingham is nice for Tapas, not as swish as San Luca though.

| Yeah, think it's San Luca.
Love tapas, but I have to be careful, my Mum's husband likes plain stuff but he can find his way around an Italian.

Last weekend, and now has the added feature of being able to be turned off if you've recorded the game.

Mr W. is home from the high seas (until Monday) and needs supervision. I have been keeping an eye on the forum though.
Luckily I can choose if and when I work. But yesterday nearly made me think of packing it in and being a kept woman.
Went to meet a couple who wanted their wedding catered. Strange really, the Bride and her parents are (organically) dyed in the (ethically sourced) wool, knit their own muesli vegetarians. Nothing against them personally LRR, but it can be awkward doing wedding buffets for 60 odd people, all veggie food.
But Daddy's Little Princess wanted a white wedding and a catered buffet, what DLP wants DLP gets.
Going through all the options and menu then DLP pipes up that she really wants 'that pink stuff' she absolutely loves and usually has when fiance Tom takes her out for a meal. After questioning her for ages I couldn't work out what she meant. Sent her off to try and find it on the internet. I was fast losing the will to live and named a stupid price per head. Without flinching Daddy agreed it. The fiance seemed to be getting a bit fidgety and red faced. DLP came back and showed us what she was looking for, Prawn Cocktail. I was the one who had to break the news that Prawns aren't exactly vegetables. Cue tears, tantrums and death threats to fiance. That's me with a free week in July.

Can't imagine life without a rare steak or a meat based curry.

Ha thats ace.
My friend who's veggie really likes meat & fish but refuses to eat it for "Ethical reasons". She eats Quorn which I wouldnt touch with a barge pole.
I just dont like the thought of eating animals really, when I was younger I only really ate chicken beacuse I didn't really like red meat.
I love jelly sweets but the thought of Gelatin makes me sick, although that website you put me on to is brill.
Mr Baldhead got some reading glasses today, I can't help peeping at him & giggling to myself

| I can and do go without meat sometimes, but that's usually 'cos I'm in a cheese mood.
I seriously draw the line at veal (and it is delicious) even 'Rose Veal' mainly because when I was young and we lived on farms my Dad let me feed the calves, cuter and cuddlier than a basket of puppies!
Just caught Mr W. actually patting his motorbike and saying Goodbye to it! He's off back to sea for a while (Mr W. not the bike!)

| Wharfy, Obviously I'm not really. But you knew that. Getting married in July though.
Anyone understand tide times?
[list=Tides
Low tide: 01:28
High tide: 07:27
Low tide: 13:31
High tide: 19
Is "Low tide" out and "High tide" in? If I go at 10:00, will the tide have already been right in, covering the beach and be disappearing back out, leaving a nice flat beach?

| My cousin is having trouble whereby he fills in his form (with their help) and they don't pay him on the basis that he's done something wrong (so he says, personally I'm of the belief that this is just a story to hide that he has money so he doesn't have to spend it), is this a similar matter to which you would wish to complain? If so, it appears quite common in that 2 people, that I know of, are being fiddled.

Low tide is low water, High tide is high water level.
at 10:00 the tide will be on its way out, although how far it is out depends on where you are, and the tidal range.

Well, thank you for that. I wasn't far off, then. I'll be sailing in no time.
Wanting to take some photos of little 'un, require an unspoilt beach. Withernsea's my closest.

I was claiming JSA as of Feb last year when I was made redundant and so I claimed on my mortage insurance.
I managed to get a christmas job at Asda which ran for 1 month from the start of Dec to the start of Jan.
My mortage insurance company just suspended my claim as they were fine in me taking temp work, they informed me that if nothing came of it full time they would just continue my claim where I left off (2 1/2 months left of 12 months I can claim between full time jobs).
I didn't get kept on so I telephoned the JSA and informed them of this, I also telephoned my insurance.
I went back to sending all documentation I had with regard to searching for jobs to my insurance company.
2/3 weeks ago I recived a letter saying they couldn't proceed until I sent them a copy of my JSA confirmation letter.
I had never recived such a letter (I had thought nothing of it at the time as I and the JSA knew it was for national insurance stamps only as I had already used up my contribution period (6 months) of JSA payments and so I assumed that was standard practice).
I telephoned the JSA office and was told not to worry a letter would be sent out to me with in 5/7 working days.
8 days pass and no letter arrives so I telephone them again, I am informed that yes there had been a letter sent but 'just in case' another letter would be sent as a priority.
After waiting another 3 days yesterday I telephone AGAIN only to then be told that it is impossible for a letter to have been sent to me as my local processing department hadn't even processed my claim yet.
At this point I went nuts.
I demanded to speak to a manager only to be told that none were available at that moment, I was then assured that I would recive two return phone calls one being from the JSA manager that wasn't available at that moment and one from my local processing office to sort out my claim.
No phone calls arrived.
I telephoned YET AGAIN and was assured that my local processing centre would telephone me but the manager would now not be telephoning me back and I had to put any complains in writing to my local JSA office.
I STILL didn't recive a phone call yesterday.
I am now in a state of utter limbo, My insurance will not pay out unless I get the letter from the JSA and any attempts to get a letter are been blanked by unhelpful call centre staff.
I have now signed on 4 times and I have no idea what for when I am not even going to recive any national insurance stamps I think and I am paying a mortgage that should be getting covered by my insurance.
I feel I am quiet laid back but I wanted to tear someones head off yesterday.

| Sorry to hear that, Paul, do you mind me calling you Paul? Perhaps you should change your name to RoversPaul, clever that.
Personally, I can't advise you any further, The Sin Bin appears to have a wealth of people who will aid you with glorious information, whether it can be taken seriously or not you would have to find out the hard way I'm afraid.
